We are disappointed in WDCs stance on mobility parking, I went to the council meeting, they call it democracy, some interesting numbers here to think about?

At the council meeting, it was claimed that there were 5000 mobility card holders in Whangarei. They claim to have asked the disabled community for submissions, they received 2 submissions. — 5000 card holders and two submissions, I smell a rat, I never heard until the 3 days before the law was changed.

Again I was at the meeting, our council claimed charging disabled people to a park would earn $200.000 including infringements per year.

Another WDC councillor claimed that 37% of our Whangarei cities population could qualify for a mobility card.

I am far from finished in expressing my opinion

Our council like many other councils are Robinhood in reverse, take from the poor to give to the rich. this website has a blog so you can have a say
